A couple attempts at getting better at observational drawing. Helps reinforce everything you do without a reference I think. These are my first attempts at either portrait. Karloff's Frankenstein is awesome to draw for obvious reasons. Sophia Loren is the prettiest gal to have walked the planet so naturally she wound up being subject matter.Been a while since last post been in a bit of a slump. I'm gonna make myself draw more from references/ life so I at least am reinforcing skills when not drawing/ painting for fun.

9/22/09

I haven't been drawing nearly enough lately. Sorry for the roughness but hey at least it's new. The girl with the harp is for a t-shirt design I'm working on. I stole the image of the girl with the harp from one of those dover clip art books, I've been drawing a lot of stuff out of those for reference lately. I feel they have good bases for learning a lot of the stuff I'll want to know how to draw off the top of my head as a tattoo artist, and doing original flash. I did add a lot of my own touch to the girl though I think. Anyways, look out for Verm'nOne shirts and skate decks coming sometime between now and the end of the year.

Some recent sketch book stuff. I'll start posting more often/ better shit. The alligator is 2mm molotow paint marker, which I like a lot. The ninja turtle heads are ballpoint over On The Run marker.
